Lens Generator

This is an advanced tool for generating printable prescription lenses.

Experimental Disclaimer

This lens generator is a highly experimental feature. 3D-printed lenses currently do not meet clinical optical standards and should not be considered a medical-grade replacement for professionally manufactured lenses.

We welcome collaboration from optics professionals, lens designers, and researchers to help improve this codebase and move the project toward more accurate, functional lens modeling.

Post-processing after resin print

For optical clarity, polish printed resin lenses in a rock tumbler and reduce abrasive grit size gradually over multiple cycles.

  1. 1. Start with a coarse abrasive only long enough to remove visible print marks and support traces.
  2. 2. Move step-by-step to medium and then fine abrasive fractions, cleaning the lens between each stage.
  3. 3. Finish with very fine polishing media or compound to improve transparency and reduce haze.
  4. 4. Inspect frequently to avoid over-polishing geometry-critical areas.
